My work blends freehand patterns with sensual forms to achieve bold and playful vessels.
I was born in the rocky back country of the Ardèche region in France and my craft was informed by its jagged mountainous landscapes.
My love for textures, prints and colour brought me to Paris where I began a career in fashion developing collections for designers. I later completed a French artisan degree and co-founded a ceramics studio.
I spent eight years in London with a vibrant community of inspiring ceramic artists and collective gallery spaces. During this time I was represented by Thrown Gallery and participated in exhibitions in Stoke on Trent and London including the Collect International Art Fair..
I recently moved to Ericeira, one-hour north of Lisbon, Portugal and have set up my new studio along the Beautiful Atlantic coastline. I feel deeply inspired thre lucious nature surroundings and embrace new explorations using local terracota clay and firing methods which make up the rich history of Portuguese ceramics. I am a master artisan in the Homo Faber international artisan guide.
My inspirations come primarily from crafts like basketry, batik and ikat textiles inspired from trips to India, Mexico and Asia. I enjoy combining these influences to create boldly patterned pieces seeking to find a space between functionality and sculpture.
